NIYAMA
Hatha yoga serves as a foundation for my practice. It is suitable for practitioners of all levels, including beginners. It provides a platform for people to develop physical strength, flexibility, and mental clarity while fostering a sense of inner peace and balance.
The word "hatha" is derived from the Sanskrit words "ha" (sun) and "tha" (moon), representing the balance of opposing forces. The practice aims to create a harmonious union between the body and mind.
My approach to Hatha Yoga includes elements of meditation and relaxation to promote mental clarity and stress reduction. This may involve guided meditation, mindfulness practices, or simply taking moments of stillness and introspection.
And it also encompasses work on pranayama, breath awareness and control that also belong to Hatha yoga. Practitioners focus on conscious breathing techniques to enhance the flow of prana (life force energy) throughout the body. Pranayama exercises may include various breathing patterns such as deep inhalation and exhalation, alternate nostril breathing, and breath retention.
